comma casual identity

Jeanine Krebs

Sales & MarketCoordinator

»Each individual person who works here feels like they are part of a big team. People are what counts here. And every one of us can make a difference every day.«

From the big wide world to small, quiet Rottendorf, that's how Jeanine Krebs' story begins. After two extended periods abroad – a year in Argentina and another in the USA – Jeanine joined the s.Oliver Group. The languages, business and cultural studies degree course she took at university meant that she was perfectly equipped for her job as "Officer Business Development International" and her later position, "POS Coach International" (POS = Point of Sale). However, Jeanine has focused completely on the comma brand since 2011! She started with comma in July 2011 as the Junior Sales & Market Coordinator, and was promoted to Sales & Market Coordinator for the new comma casual identity brand exactly a year later. Jeanine is basically the point where product and sales meet. What's the market like? What information is relevant for the collection design, what's in demand? The market is not a static entity; it is always in transition. What the customers want and the latest fashion trends are constantly changing aspects, and we must respond to these – and do so fast! "As the product development cycle starts from scratch at the beginning of each month, you constantly have the opportunity to make a difference, to come up with something new and to optimise the old." In short, to ensure that the brand becomes even better and even more successful. In her day-to-day work, key figures and analyses are an important basis for decisions. It was this fast pace that made the job such an interesting and exciting challenge for Jeanine: "To see a product develop and to be a part of this process also makes me just a little bit proud," she admits with a big smile.

s.Oliver is definitely a family-run business. Jeanine also appreciates this fact: "A company where team spirit and loyalty count. We are all in this together, you are not alone." It's not just easier to work as part of a team; it is also lots more fun. And what you enjoy, you usually do quite well. Talking to colleagues – also from the other departments – makes you think outside the box and makes you see things from a completely different perspective. Jeanine feels that the team spirit can be felt everywhere: "You can have a laugh together and have fun but also rely on your colleagues one hundred percent. No one beavers away on their own; everyone joins in the open discussions." Jeanine was also positively surprised by the open door policy practiced by the senior management. Ultimately, everyone shares the same goal: to design new casual and feminine looks for women month after month. Jeanine mentions the corporate fitness programme "Ready, Steady, Go!" almost as an afterthought. "For me personally, this programme is simply sensational. The wide range of offers includes something for every member of the team." Running, spinning, swimming, yoga... Jeanine has already tried out many of the courses on offer. She also loves the fact that through the courses she constantly meets colleagues she hasn't met before from lots of different departments. "It's a totally uncomplicated way to network within the Group".
