As Head of Merchandise Planning & Analytics US she sets the standards for LIEBESKIND BERLIN: in retail, internet business and wholesale, the three pillars of the LIEBESKIND BERLIN company. »I plan and evaluate the sales performance of every nuance of our business, and drive the growth and development of our retail presence in the US market.« For over 13 years Joanne has worked in the strategic departments of various fashion companies. She has been at LIEBESKIND BERLIN since November 2014. »One of the major challenges is bridging the gap between the differences in the German consumer base and US consumer base so that we can provide them with the right product — develop marketing campaigns and initiatives that communicate to them in a way they can relate to and identify with, while staying true to the LIEBESKIND BERLIN image.«

Joanne’s many years of experience are her most important currency: fortunately, she says, she has been able to learn and gain experience in many areas, especially across departments and with different distribution channels. »This has afforded me the knowledge to bridge the gap in communication and understanding between departments, analyse the performance of each business area, and how it impacts the overall company goal.« Currently she is drawing particular benefit from the optimization of the retail branch in the United States. »Until recently, retail was a bit of an underdog at LIEBESKIND BERLIN. It’s exciting to see us make changes and improve period over period.« The will to succeed has impressed her: »The strong team spirit and the all hands on deck mentality means the business grows in a fast paced, competitive market. I didn’t expect to find so many workaholics in one place dedicated to the success of our brand.« Everyone supports each other, from overtime in the preparation of business plans to packing boxes and constructing stands at trade fairs. »We are all doing it together —working hard while having a few laughs in between,« she smiles. »I define family as those who are there for each other through thick and thin. I know that whether management, my peer group, or subordinates, they will all be there for me when needed.«
