Being a company under private law, we have to observe the provisions of the Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG) and of the German Telemedia Act (TMG) in the same way as public entities. This includes the use of data by vicarious agents and service providers commissioned by s.Oliver to operate the website in our name. Should you object to this use of your data, you may dissent, for example by sending an email to info@soliver.comor by mail to s.Oliver Bernd Freier GmbH & Co. 3. Confidentiality of your personal data
s.Oliver guarantees the confidentiality of your personal data by ensuring that our personnel are bound to secrecy and that our security measures are up to the latest technological standards; moreover, the company’s data protection officer and internal auditing department ensure that the data protection regulations are complied with.

4. Use of your personal data

Insofar as you have expressly accepted it, we will also collect, store, process and use your data for marketing campaigns, especially for newsletters, text messages and phone campaigns; moreover, we will forward your data to third parties commissioned by s.Oliver, where the data is stored, processed and used according to the above mentioned purposes on behalf of s.Oliver.

You may object to further use of your data by s.Oliver for advertising purposes anytime by sending a notification to s.Oliver or by emailing info@soliver.com. We will immediately cease sending you further advertising material upon receipt of your objection.

7. Cookies
Our web pages use ‘cookies’ at several points. They serve to make our offer more user-friendly, more effective and safer. Cookies are small text files which are deposited on your computer and stored by your browser (locally on your hard disk). Thanks to cookies we are able to analyse how users move through our web pages. Thus we can adjust our website's contents to the needs of the users. Moreover, cookies enable us to evaluate the efficiency of individual advertisements and to place them depending on the thematic interests of the users.

We use two different types of cookies: ‘session cookies’ and ‘persistent cookies’.

Session cookies are temporary cookies; they are automatically deleted when the browser is closed.

In addition, data is stored in persistent cookies and deposited on your computer when you visit our websites. Such cookies are automatically deleted from your computer when their period of validity has expired or if you delete them yourself before their validity expires. All persistent cookies used by us expire within 6 months.

Most web browsers automatically accept cookies. You can also usually modify your browser settings if you prefer not to send such information. In doing so, however, you will not be able to use the offers of our website in full. You determine the extent to which you allow cookies. Please use the support functions of your browser to accept, decline, see or delete cookies.

The collected data are never processed in personal form, but always as a pseudonym.

8. Webtracking

Econda GmbH
In order to provide a demand-oriented app design and to optimise this website, anonymous data is collected and stored using solutions and technologies from econda GmbH (http://www.econda.de). Such data is used to create user profiles under pseudonyms. For this purpose, cookies are used with which it is possible to recognise Internet browsers. Without the express permission of the visitor, however, user profiles are not combined with data about the bearer of the pseudonym. In particular, IP addresses are rendered unreadable as soon as they are received. Thus it is not possible to associate user profiles with IP addresses. Visitors to this website can reject this data acquisition and data storage for the future at any time here.

Google Analytics
This website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service of Google Inc. (‘Google’). Google Analytics uses so-called ‘cookies’, text files stored on your computer which facilitate the analysis of your use of the website. The information about your use of this website generated by the cookies is usually transferred to a Google server in the USA where it is stored. In the event of the activation of the IP-anonymisation on this website, your IP address will, however, be truncated first by Google within Member States of the European Union or in other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area.
Only in exceptional cases is the full IP address transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. Google will use this information on behalf of the operator of this website in order to analyse your use, to compile reports on the website activities and to provide other services associated with the website use to the operator. The IP address of your browser transmitted in the context of Google Analytics is not linked with other data by Google. You can prevent the storage of cookies by changing your browser settings accordingly; however, we must point out that, in this case, you may not be able to use all functions on this website in full. You can also prevent the recording of the data generated by the cookie and related to your use of the website (incl. your IP address) and its transmission to Google, as well as the processing of this data by Google, by downloading and installing the browser add-on available under the following link. The current link is http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en.
If your web browser does not support the above-mentioned link to the browser add-on by Google (e.g. when accessing our Internet offer from your smartphone), you can also prevent the recording by Google Analytics by clicking on the following link. An opt-out cookie will then be set that prevents the recording of your data when you visit this website in the future:
Deactivate Google Analytics

9. Social Plugins
This website uses plugins of facebook.com, the social network operated by Facebook Inc., 1601 S. California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA (‘Facebook’). The plugins are marked with the Facebook logo or with the addition ‘Like it on Facebook’ or ‘Like s.Oliver on Facebook’.

When you access a website of our Internet presence containing such a plugin, your browser connects directly to the servers of Facebook. Facebook transmits the information contained in the plugins directly to your browser, which will integrate the plugin into a website. By integrating the plugin, Facebook receives the information that you have visited the corresponding site of our Internet presence.

If you are logged into Facebook, Facebook is able to associate this visit with your Facebook account even if you have not confirmed the ‘Like’ button. Every time you interact with plugins, e.g. when you click on the ‘Like’ button, or when you post a comment, the corresponding information is transmitted from your browser directly to Facebook and stored there. Even if you do not have a Facebook account, Facebook is able to collect data about you, e.g. your IP address.

InFacebook's data protection policy, you will find additional information on the purpose and scope of the data collection, further processing and use of the data by Facebook as well as on your related rights and the setting options available to protect your privacy. Should you wish to prevent Facebook from collecting your data while you visit our Internet presence, you must log out of Facebook before visiting our website. In addition, you can install blockers for your browser through the use of add-ons.

10. External websites
These data protection regulations apply to the s.Oliver Group website and to the websites of all companies affiliated with s.Oliver. These websites may contain links to external sources not covered by our data protection regulations. We have no influence on the content of other providers’ websites linked from the s.Oliver website. We can therefore accept no guarantee or liability for such content. The respective provider or operator is invariably responsible for the content of these web pages. The linked web pages were examined for possible statutory violations and recognisable infringements at the time the links were inserted. No illegal content was recognisable at the time the links were created. However, the content of the linked pages cannot reasonably be checked on an ongoing basis unless there is concrete evidence of infringements. Should we become aware of statutory violations, then the respective links will immediately be removed.
