Information on data privacy
We welcome your visit to our website and are pleased that you are taking an interest in our company. The protection of your personal data is important to us. We process your data in accordance with the applicable statutory guidelines on the protection of personal data, particularly the EU’s General Data Protection Regulation (EU-GDPR) and the country-specific implementation legislation that applies to our company.

Our data privacy statement explains which of your personal data we gather via our website, what we use this for, when we delete it, and how your data is protected to the greatest extent possible by security measures. In addition, we inform you about the relevant legal basis that allows us to undertake the processing of your data.

Moreover, we inform you of your statutory rights in connection with the processing of this data.

Personal data is the information that makes it possible for a natural person to be identified. Among other things, this includes your name, date of birth, address, telephone number, email address, but also your IP address.

Data is considered to be anonymous if it does not allow any conclusion to be drawn about any individual by the user.

Data capture / personal data
As a rule, we do not require any personal data from you when you visit our website. You only transfer data to our website server about your internet browser (for technical reasons) when you connect to our website.

For the duration of the connection that exists for the exchange of communication between your internet browser and our web server, the following data is recorded:

  • The web browser and the operating system you use

  • Name of the internet service provider

  • Data relating to the website you are visiting us from

  • Data on the websites you visit through our website, as well as the date and time of your visit

  • Name of the requested file, whether or not the file was transferred, volume of data transferred

  • The IP address assigned to you by your internet service provider

For reasons of technical security, particularly with a view to foiling attempts to attack our web server, this data is stored by us pursuant to Art. 6 para 1f of the EU-GDPR. After a maximum of seven days, the data is then anonymised through the truncation of the IP address at domain level. No link to the individual user is created. The data is then further processed for statistical purposes, but only in anonymous form.

Further gathering of data
We will only use the personal data that we acquire about you via our website for the purposes described in detail below. This is done in keeping with the legal guidelines specified in each case or only with your consent.

Precisely when the processing of data is allowed is set out in Art.6 EU-GDPR. This article specifies the circumstances in which the processing of data is permitted.

For example, this is the case if

  • your consent has been given (Art. 6 para. 1a EU-GDPR),

  • the data is necessary for performance of a contract / pre-contractual measures (Art. 6 para. 1b EU-GDPR),

  • the data is necessary for the fulfilment of a legal obligation (Art. 6 para. 1c EU-GDPR) or

  • there is a need to preserve the legitimate interests of our company, unless these are overridden by your fundamental right to protection (Art. 6 para. 1f EU-GDPR).

It goes without saying that the personal data we collect will be treated confidentially. We will only forward your data to third parties in accordance with statutory provisions, or if you have provided us with the corresponding authorisation.

Contact form / establishing contact by email (legal basis: Art. 6 para. 1a, 1b EU-GDPR)
Our website provides a contact form that can be used to establish electronic contact. If you write to us using this contact form, we will process the data provided by you in the contact form for purposes of establishing contact and answering your questions and requests. Here we take into account the principle of data economy and data avoidance by only asking you to provide the data that we actually require from you for the purposes of establishing contact. This comprises your email address and the message field itself. Furthermore, we will also process your IP address, as we require this for both technical reasons and legal security purposes. The fields for other information are voluntary fields and can be filled out if you so wish (e.g. so that your questions can be answered in a more tailored way).

If you contact us by email, we will only process the personal data transferred in that email for the purpose of processing your enquiry.

Cookies (Art. 6, para. 1f EU-GDPR)
Our web pages use so-called “cookies” in various places. These are designed to make our website more user-friendly, more effective and more secure. Cookies are small text files that are filed on your computer and stored by your browser (locally on your hard drive).

These cookies enable us to analyse how visitors are using our websites. This in turn enables us to align the content of our websites with user needs. Moreover, cookies provide us the opportunity to measure the effectiveness of a particular advertisement, and to position it in keeping with the topical interests of users.

Most of the cookies used by us are “session cookies”. These are automatically deleted after your visit. Permanent cookies are automatically deleted by your computer once their period of validity (typically six months) expires, or if you delete them yourself prior to the expiry of this period of validity.

Most web browsers accept cookies automatically. However, you can usually also modify the settings of your browser yourself if you would prefer information of this kind not be transferred. Doing this will not prevent you from being able to use the offers of our website without restriction (exception: configurators).

We use cookies to make our website more user-friendly, more effective and more secure. Moreover, we use cookies so that we can analyse how visitors are using our websites. This enables us to align the content of our websites with user needs. Furthermore, cookies afford us the opportunity to measure the effectiveness of a particular advertisement, and to position it in keeping with the topical interests of users.

Cookies are stored on the user’s computer, from where they are transferred to our website. Accordingly, you have full control over the use of cookies in your capacity as a user. By changing the settings in your internet browser, you can deactivate or restrict the transfer of cookies. In addition, cookies that have already been used can be deleted via a web browser or other software programmes at any time. This is possible in all modern internet browsers.

Please note: If you block cookies, it may not be possible to use all the functions of our website fully in certain circumstances.

User profiles / web tracking procedures (Art. 6, para. 1f EU-GDPR)
In order to make our s.Oliver-Group website as attractive as possible, define the reach of our website, guarantee optimal usage and provide you with the best possible service, we deploy the following analytical tools on our website on the basis of our legitimate interests.

Google Universal Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics, a website analysis service provided by Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA ("Google"). Google Analytics uses ‘cookies”, i.e. text files stored on your computer which facilitate the analysis of your use of our website. The information produced by the cookie in respect of your use of this website (including the truncated IP address) is typically transferred to a Google server based in the USA and stored there. This website uses Google Analytics exclusively with the "_anonymizeIp()” extension, which ensures that IP addresses are anonymised by truncating them, thereby making it impossible to establish a direct link to any individual. Through this extension, your IP address is truncated in advance by Google within member states of the European Union or in other countries that have signed up to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will a full IP address be transferred to a Google server in the US and truncated there. In these exceptional cases, this processing is undertaken in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1f EU-GDPR on the basis of our legitimate interest in the statistical analysis of user behaviour for optimisation and marketing purposes.

If commissioned by us, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, draw up reports on website activity, and provide us with other services related to website and internet usage. The IP address transferred from your browser in connection with Google Analytics is not amalgamated with other Google data.

You can prevent the storage of cookies by making the following adjustment to the settings of your browser software; we would point out, however, that in this case you may not be able to use all the functions of this website fully. Furthermore, you can prevent the capture of the data produced by the cookie that relates to your use of the website (including your IP address) as well as the processing of this data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plug-in accessible via the following link:

As an alternative to the browser plug-in or for browsers on mobile devices, please click on the following link in order to place an opt-out cookie that will prevent the capture of data by Google Analytics for this website in the future (this opt-out cookie only functions in this browser and only for this domain, if you delete your cookies on this browser, you will have to click on this link again): deactivate Google Analytics.

Google LLC, which is headquartered in the USA, is certified for the US-European Data Protection Agreement “Privacy Shield”, which guarantees compliance with the standard of data protection that applies in the EU.
