How to applysuccessfully!

We’re delighted that you want to become part of our team! To make our first contact a total success, here are a few tips on the right way to go about applying to work with us.

  • 1. Preparation:

    Take time to find the right job for you on our job portal. Then you can apply directly online via the portal (to do this you need to set up your own user account).

    Checklist for your application:

    • Cover letter: Why are you interested in the advertised job? What are your strengths, talents and professional goals? What excites you about the s.Oliver Group? Please also state your salary expectations and the earliest possible date you could start.
    • CV: Here you can give a summary of your previous work and relevant areas of responsibility, your successes, and details of your schooling/studies or vocational training.
    • Testimonials/certificates: Please include testimonials for all previous work as well as key evidence of professional development, etc. We also ask prospective junior employees for their last school or study certificate.

    Please make sure that your application documents are complete.

  • 2. Receipt and confirmation:

    Once you have uploaded your application documents to our application management system you will receive confirmation of receipt by e-mail.

  • 3. Check your documents:

    On average we need 2 – 3 weeks to examine your application properly. You can check the current status of your application at any time on the portal under your own account. If your application documents are incomplete we will contact you promptly and ask you to complete them.

    If after checking your documents we do not think your profile suits our job profile please continue to visit our job portal. Maybe another more suitable job will be advertised there for which you can apply. We very much hope that you will still be interested in us as an employer in the future.

  • 4. Initial interview:

    We find your application documents interesting and would like to get to know you personally. Depending on the job profile we will now invite you for a telephone/Skype or personal interview or visit to the Assessment Centre. You will receive the invitation by e-mail or telephone. Job application interviews usually involve an HR representative and a representative from the relevant department. Please use this interview to introduce yourself to us, to get to know us, and to ask your questions.

  • 5. Second interview:

    Sometimes a second interview is needed to introduce more people from the relevant department or to discuss a pre-defined specialist role with you. This will also give you the opportunity to gain greater insight into the potential work environment.

  • 6. Appointment:

    We have decided to offer you the job and all the contractual details have been settled. Now we’re looking forward to welcoming you onto our team. Welcome!
