On the Path to More Sustainability
As a forward-looking company with strong roots, we are aware of our high responsibility for tomorrow. That is why we are committed to an integrated approach to sustainability and an organizational structure that promotes responsible action throughout the company.
Knowing that there is still a lot to accomplish, we are doing everything in our power to promote innovation and change. For ourselves, our fellow human beings and the nature that surrounds us. So that the world we want to live in succeeds: Diverse, fair and regenerative.
Creating Value Through More Sustainability
We want more innovation and more sustainability in order to create more value – in the clothing itself and along our entire value chain. In 2021, we reviewed our sustainability strategy, and in doing so laid the cornerstone for doing justice to our responsibility for our fellow human beings and the environment. On the basis of our comprehensive analysis, we were able to identify and prioritize central issues, and formulate ambitious goals. In our strategy, we concentrate on three sub-topics: People, Planet, and Future.
Through a set of Sustainability Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) we measure our progress in these areas. We also asses the development of our suppliers using KPIs. This allows us to identify which suppliers are already performing well in terms of protecting human and environmental rights, so we can build out our collaboration with them. For suppliers where we see room for improvement, we support their development in the right direction.
We have nothing to hide. We publish data from our supply chain for transparency and show where and by whom our products are produced.
The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development was adopted by all member states of the United Nations in 2015. It provides a framework for countries and companies to jointly solve the most important challenges for people and the environment. At the heart of the agenda are the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which encompass economic as well as environmental and social aspects.
As a part of the global community, we contribute to the following SDGs in particular, for example through our social commitment or our climate protection measures.
