The S.OLIVER GROUP and private textiles holding have agreed to establish a joint venture. The new company will operate under the name Brand Collective GmbH and will launch in the third quarter of 2026, initially with 18 locations.
The aim of the partnership is to take over, continue and strategically reposition retail spaces previously operated by the PTH group under the “Catches Concept”. Specifically, around 18 locations are to be transferred to the joint venture, rebranded and, in future, operated under the S.OLIVER GROUP’s brand and retail concept.
The intended collaboration is designed to accelerate the S.OLIVER GROUP’s market expansion in a targeted manner, capitalise on existing location opportunities in the short term and tap into additional growth potential – particularly in the travel retail segment and in eastern Germany. At the same time, the joint venture is conceived as a scalable platform to facilitate future growth.
The PTH Group brings its extensive operational retail expertise to the partnership. The S.OLIVER GROUP contributes its brand strength, product range expertise and overarching brand and sales strategy.
“With Brand Collective GmbH, we are creating a scalable platform to quickly and efficiently re-occupy attractive retail locations and systematically expand our market penetration. “The partnership with PTH enables us to combine operational excellence with strong brand management, thereby capitalising on new growth opportunities in the high street retail sector,” says Johannes Rellecke, Co-CEO of the S.OLIVER GROUP.
“With Brand Collective GmbH, we are creating, together with the S.OLIVER GROUP, a robust platform for the rapid development of attractive retail locations. The PTH group brings to this joint venture many years of experience in the operational management of retail space, in the development of various store concepts and in their successful implementation on the ground. Coupled with the established brand strength of the S.OLIVER GROUP, we are thus laying the foundations for sustainable development. This partnership is therefore more than just a continuation of existing locations: it opens up the possibility of strategically realigning spaces, exploiting local potential in a more targeted manner and achieving growth in brick-and-mortar retail on an economically viable basis,” adds Heiko Ronge, Managing Director of the PTH group.
The PTH group has been operating since 2001 as one of the leading franchise companies specialising in the textile sector. The company employs around 400 staff, generates an annual turnover of approximately 60 million euros and currently operates 57 stores. The company’s extensive operational experience with various brand and store formats, as well as its in-depth knowledge of retail locations, were key factors in the selection of PTH group as a joint venture partner.
Since 1969, the S.OLIVER GROUP has developed into a multilabel company. In addition to the brands s.Oliver and QS, the brand portfolio also includes comma, LIEBESKIND BERLIN, COPENHAGEN STUDIOS and lala Berlin. The Group employs around 4,700 people internationally.
