Be Yourself

When you apply for a position in our company, you are taking the first step towards your professional future at the S.OLIVER GROUP. It’s only natural that you want to know what we value within this process and what awaits you on your path to your new job. First and foremost: be yourself. Nobody has to be perfect. That’s why we’re not looking for an immaculate resume here either.

APPLICATION PROCESS

Here`s What to Expect

Our company and our industry are unbelievably varied and are constantly changing. That’s why it doesn’t make sense for us to stick to a rigid, standardized application process with firmly defined steps. It’s much more about our individual focus on the requirements of the job and, of course, on you.

Generally speaking, we start with an initial, informal conversation to get to know you by phone or via Microsoft Teams. This is usually followed up by a longer interview with a larger group present. Depending on the position, you may be presented with a case study in advance, which you should present over the course of the recruiting process, or we may invite you to a work trial so you can get to know your new place of work and meet your new colleagues.

If all parties are convinced that we are a match, we will be happy to make you a contractual offer.

Laura Geissler Teamleader Recruiting & Employer Branding

"Who are we as an employer and what defines our culture? These are the topics that move us every day in employer branding and recruiting. Of course, I want to fill our positions in the best possible way for the company. At the same time, it is my goal to find the positions for candidates in which they will be satisfied in the long term and can grow together with us. I'm delighted every time I meet new colleagues after a few months and they tell me about their onboarding and their first successes.”

TIPS FOR YOUR APPLICATION
Our Top 5 Tips for Your Application

During the interviews, we are happy to let you take center stage. It is best if you give us an insight into all the points that you weren’t able to fully cover in the documents enclosed in your application and that are really close to your heart: What drives you? What is important to you? What do you want to achieve?

Starting a new job is something that needs to be carefully considered on both sides. So if you reach a point where you are unsure about something or you still have questions that need to be answered, talk to us and give us your honest feedback. Both sides can only benefit from this.

Of course, we rely on the expertise and experience of our employees – but there’s so much more to ensuring you succeed in starting your new job: That’s why we also want to convince ourselves during the hiring process of how well you will fit in with our corporate culture and with the values of the S.OLIVER GROUP.

In doing so, you make it clear to us that you care a lot about your new job and you have already started to think seriously about it. As part of this process, we welcome any question that will help both sides to get a good picture of the situation, be it of a professional or personal nature.

Are you interested in the S.OLIVER GROUP and finding a job in the fashion industry? Then of course we would like to know why. Is it the specific tasks and projects outlined in the job description, or your flair for fashion and retail, or are there other decisive factors in the mix? Tell us more!

As soon as we have received your signed employment contract, we will do everything in our power to make your start as smooth as possible: While IT access is being set up and the relevant equipment is ordered, your new colleagues will already be putting together your orientation plan and appointing a mentor who will accompany you in your initial weeks and months.

On your first day, you are bound to be overwhelmed by the many new sensations and faces that await you. But don’t worry: Everyone else had to have their first day at some point too and they still know exactly what it felt like. We support you step by step in getting off to a good start in your new job so that it won’t be long before you can celebrate your first successes as a fully-fledged team member.

Another important part of our onboarding process is our introductory event, which takes place once a month with new employees from very different areas of the company. Here you will not only be given all the important information you need for your new start at the S.OLIVER GROUP, but you will also gain exciting insights into the range of different areas within the company. Depending on your needs, a range of different specialist training courses, completed during your initial time working with us, as well as regular feedback meetings with your new manager will also play an important role in your initial training.
