comma anniversary in Düsseldorf
50 years of comma and not a dot in sight.50 years of comma and no end in sight. Under this motto, we invited guests to our showroom last Saturday, 27 January 2024, as part of the Düsseldorf Fashion Days. The guests included sales partners, press representatives and companions from the comma network.
In a relaxed atmosphere, they reminisced together about major milestones and special moments from comma's history. Inspiring and moving conversations took place between the numerous guests, as well as on stage.
Female empowerment was also celebrated as an important part of comma's DNA on this evening. Susann Sitte, founder of the women's network THE HER KLUB, which supports women in their personal development, led through topics such as female leadership and the role of women in the fashion industry during the panel talk on stage. In addition to CPO Sonja Balodis, Katrin von Hallwyl from the DKMS Life organisation, artist Anna Rupprecht and BTE President Mark Rauschen also shared their experiences. "In 50 years' time, female empowerment will hopefully no longer be an issue, but it will be taken for granted that women and men are treated equally," the participants agreed at the end. This was met with warm applause and approval from the audience.
Katrin v. Hallwyl also gave a rousing insight into her work at the DKMS Life organisation, which supports cancer patients during their treatment, gives them a zest for life and has a positive impact on their healing process. Comma has been supporting DKMS Life's "look good feel better" programme for many years, which encourages women with cancer with beauty seminars and boosts their self-confidence. A special highlight was therefore the charity raffle, which benefited DKMS Life. A unique work of art, created by German artist Anna Rupprecht, which honours the history of women over the last five decades, was raffled off.
The fashion show was another highlight of the evening and offered a foretaste of the upcoming autumn/winter 2024 collection. The combination of feminine and expressive elements paired with seductive, semi-transparent pieces brought the fashion of the 90s back to life. The music by female DJ duo NXN provided the perfect backdrop to the evening and allowed guests to immerse themselves in the rhythm of the party.
The event was a complete success. The past was honoured, the present celebrated and a promising future looked forward to with excitement.
